Mission

The Mission of the Philadelphia Classical Guitar Society is enshrined in Article 3 of the 1967 PCGS Articles of Incorporation:

“The Primary purpose of the corporation is to engage in the instruction of the public on the subject of classical guitar music in a fashion which will be useful to the individual and beneficial to the community at large. In this connection, the corporation will promote and encourage the appreciation, study and performance of classical guitar music.  As a secondary purpose, the corporation will promote and encourage appreciation, study and performance of other forms of guitar music and other musical instruments in general.

This remains the mission of PCGS today.
